Win the remodels homeowners are already searching for

Contractor SEO is local SEO for general contractors and remodelers: a compliant Google Business Profile, a page with real photos for each kind of project and each town you build in, and reviews from finished jobs, so homeowners planning a kitchen, bathroom or addition find you first. At Rankure it costs $599, $1,094 or $2,196 a month, month-to-month, with no setup fee.

Does this sound like your pipeline?

  1. 1

Most jobs come from referrals, and referrals are lumpy

A slow quarter shows how much of the year depends on word of mouth.

  2. 2

Your portfolio lives on Instagram, not on your website

Google cannot rank a photo feed for “bathroom remodel in [your town]”.

  3. 3

Lead services send you the same homeowner as four other builders

You pay to compete on price for a job someone else also bought.

  4. 4

You rank for your company name and little else

People who do not know you yet never find you.

What homeowners search before they call a contractor

Average monthly US searches, Google Keyword Planner, 5 November 2026.

SearchAverage monthly searches
general contractor near me135,000
bathroom remodel contractors90,500
kitchen remodel contractors40,500
home remodeling contractors27,100
home addition contractors22,200

Each search is a project in planning. A page for each project type, in each town you work, is how a builder shows up for them.

Why remodel leads are won before the first call

A homeowner planning a $40,000 kitchen does not pick the first name in the map. They look at finished projects like theirs, read the last few reviews, and check that the builder works in their town. A contractor whose website has a page for kitchens with real photos from local jobs, and recent reviews that mention kitchens, is shortlisted before the phone rings.

The shortcuts hurt here too. Google’s guidelines do not allow extra profiles for towns where you have no staffed location, and they ask service-area businesses to hide an address customers do not visit (Google Business Profile guidelines). One correct profile with service areas and a page per town is slower to set up, and it lasts.

What contractors ask before signing

  • Do we need new photos?Your own job photos are best. We tell you which projects to shoot and how, and write the page around them.
  • How long until it brings projects?Remodel buyers plan for months, so pages that go up now are found while they plan. Expect early calls in the first few months and the bigger gains after that.
  • Can you cover the towns we drive to?Yes, with service areas on one profile and a page per town. Never with extra profiles.
  • Can you fix the website too?If your current site cannot carry project pages, a redesign starts from $2,640, with every old page redirected.
