Marketing for Aesthetic and Specialty Practices
Rankure works with practices whose patients arrive through search. Someone types a procedure and a city, or asks an AI assistant who the good injector nearby is, and whatever comes back decides which three practices get the call.
Which practices does Rankure work with?
Rankure works with six practice types: medical spas, plastic surgery, cosmetic dermatology, facial plastic surgery, cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics. Each one has a distinct search problem, which is why the work is not interchangeable.
Medical spa
A med spa reads to Google as two businesses in one coat, part retail wellness and part medical practice, and that ambiguity drives the highest suspension rate of any specialty we handle. It also competes on procedure terms against national chains and against every dermatology office in the same postcode.
Medical spa marketing →Plastic surgery
Patients research a plastic surgeon for months before booking, so visibility has to hold across surgeon-name searches, procedure searches and review platforms at the same time. Listing names that do not match state board registration are a recurring cause of profile trouble.
Plastic surgery marketing →Cosmetic dermatology
A cosmetic dermatology practice is usually competing for aesthetic procedure terms while Google classifies it as general medical dermatology. The result is strong authority that ranks for the wrong intent, and injectable or laser searches going to the med spa down the road.
Cosmetic dermatology marketing →Facial plastic surgery
This is the narrowest specialty in the group and the search volume reflects that, so the work is about owning a small set of high-intent procedure and city terms rather than chasing traffic. Being categorised alongside general plastic surgery costs visibility on precisely the searches that convert.
Facial plastic surgery marketing →Cosmetic dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry sits inside a general dental practice most of the time, which means the elective, high-value procedures are buried under routine dental content and a listing category that says "Dentist". Patients searching for veneers or smile makeovers never see the part of the practice they wanted.
Cosmetic dentistry marketing →Orthodontics
Orthodontic practices run satellite offices staffed a couple of days a week, often inside another practice's building, and that pattern matches Google's signature for a fake location almost exactly. One location going dark while the others survive is the most common way it shows up.
Orthodontics marketing →What does Rankure do for aesthetic practices?
Google Business Profile reinstatement. When a listing is suspended, we diagnose the cause, correct it, build the evidence file and handle the appeal. A $199 diagnostic tells you what happened and whether it is recoverable. The balance is quoted per case and charged only if the profile is reinstated. Nobody can guarantee reinstatement, because Google makes the decision.
Google Business Profile management. The ongoing version of the same work. Categories, services, hours, photos, posts, Q&A and the listing-to-website consistency that keeps a profile out of trouble in the first place.
Local SEO. Map pack visibility for the procedures and cities a practice actually wants, including location pages, citation consistency and the internal structure that lets a multi-location practice rank in each of its markets rather than only the head office.
SEO. The site-wide work: procedure pages that answer the questions patients ask before booking, technical health, and the topical structure that tells search engines what the practice specialises in.
AI search visibility. Getting the practice represented accurately in AI assistants and AI overviews, which increasingly means structured data, clear factual pages and consistent information across every source an AI might read.
Web design. Sites built so the search work has somewhere to land, with the location, procedure and contact information a listing has to match.
Reputation management. Review acquisition and response, which affects both what patients see and what AI systems summarise about a practice.
Why does search matter more for aesthetic practices than most businesses?
Because the way patients choose a provider moved to AI faster than almost anyone planned for, and the information those systems repeat is frequently wrong.
rater8's 2026 Patient Choice Report found that the share of patients using AI to find a provider rose from 31% at the end of 2025 to 47% by mid-2026. In the same report, 36% of patients said AI swayed their care decision, the first time that has outpaced Google search results at 34%.
The accuracy side is the part that should worry a practice owner. The same report found that of the patients who used AI to research providers, two thirds encountered incorrect information about the provider, and 60% trusted the AI summary without verifying it. For an elective procedure chosen on trust, wrong hours, a wrong location or a wrong service list is not a technicality. It is a patient who booked somewhere else and never told you why.
