Every orthodontist nearby offers a free consultation. So what decides who gets the call?
Orthodontic marketing at Rankure is built for practices with satellite offices and two very different patients: one verified profile per staffed location, a page for parents weighing teen treatment and another for adults considering aligners, and a steady flow of reviews, because when the consultation is free everywhere, reviews and visibility decide. Local SEO starts at $750 a month; review management is $173 per location.

Common in orthodontic groups
- 1
One satellite office is suspended
It opens two days a week inside another practice's building, and Google could not confirm it.
- 2
Patients search the aligner brand, not you
And the brand's provider locator decides who they see.
- 3
The site talks to parents and loses adults
Or the reverse. One page trying to do both ranks for neither.
- 4
A previous agency set up the listings
Nobody at the practice has owner access any more.
Why satellite offices are where trouble starts
Growing an orthodontic practice usually means more offices. The newer ones are often staffed part-time or share a building with another practice. They tend to be the riskiest listings, because Google has the least evidence that a real office operates there at the stated hours. When one location goes, it is usually the least well-documented one.
Group structures add another layer. If trading names, legal entities and clinicians of record differ between offices, Google can read the inconsistency as a category or duplicate problem. A shared phone number or one generic locations page makes it worse.
What a well-run group looks like
Each staffed office has one verified profile. It carries its own address, phone and hours, and has its own page on the website. A parent finds a page about teen treatment, timing and cost. An adult finds one about aligners and discretion. Reviews arrive from every office and are answered without confirming who is a patient, so the free-consultation comparison tips your way. Reviews count: Google says prominence draws on "how many reviews you have" (Google Business Profile Help, checked 25 October 2026). The practice holds owner access to every listing. Each month you see calls and consultation requests by office.
For a sense of what steady profile work can do for a dental business: DentalNightGuard.com went from 327 to 2,910 monthly profile views between April and September 2026 (Google's own reports). It is not an orthodontic practice, its calls are still below March, and your first review sets your own baseline.

Orthodontists usually want to know
- Why was only one of our offices suspended?Usually it was the least well-verified. Shared premises and part-time hours are common factors.
- We have no owner access to our own listings.Ownership can generally be recovered through Google's ownership request process. It is worth doing whether or not a location is suspended.
- What happens to reviews if an office is suspended? The reviews stay with the suspended listing. Do not open a replacement profile for that office while you wait: the reviews will not move to it.
- Is there a term?Month-to-month. Thirty days written notice to stop.
